The development and implementation of an Open Space Management System aims to continuously improve the quality of Riyadh’s open spaces and the efficiency of maintenance efforts. A software tool automates and streamlines the inspection, reporting and decision-making processes reducing response times and increasing accountability. Close collaboration with management and training of 250 organisational and technical staff resulted in high acceptance and rapid deployment in more than 1000 open spaces across 15 districts.
